Dr. Markowitz

Dr. Markowitz takes the time to provide you with the best care possible. A beautiful and healthy smile is his ultimate goal. With their new smile, many of his patients receive renewed self-confidence it shows through to their personal and professional relationships. With 17 years of experience, Dr. Markowitz utilizes the most advanced techniques and materials available. You can rest assure that with Dr. Markowitz, and his staff by his side, you truly are in good hands.

Dr. Markowitz attended Dental School at The Medical University of South Carloina. He completed his post dental training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center ,and Kings County Hospital Center. He recieved his implant surgical training at the University of Miami’s Implant Dentistry Program. He has continued his dental education at the prestigious Rosenthal Institute and Aesthetic Advantage, Inc.

The Team

Fran Halasz: Office Manager

Fran has been the Operations manager for our team since 2000. She brings 25 years of dental experience to the front office. Fran attended Queens College in New York and has done many of the continuing education classes with Dr. Markowitz. Fran’s knowledge of finance, insurance and treatment planning makes beautiful smiles happen for many of our patients.

Leigh D’Avanzo: Hygienist

Leigh first worked with Dr. Markowitz as a chair side assistant back in 1996 and than proceeded to open his first dental office with him in ’97. Then, in 2000, she went back to school to get her degree in hygiene. She graduated from PBCC in 2006 and received her Associates in Science degree. Shortly after that, she came back to Dr. Markowitz as his hygienist. And since then, she has won the hearts of all our patients and the whole staff. Leigh has 3 kids and enjoys boating and being with her family.

Christine Packard: Dental Assistant / Surgical Assistant

Christine began in 2007. She excels in assisting chair side during all surgical cases. Her extensive knowledge of implants has been a huge contribution to our practice. She’s known in the office as our “Little Tinkerbelle.” In her spare time, she enjoys wakeboarding and exercising.
