Implants
Dental implants are a natural-looking artificial tooth placed in the mouth to counter tooth loss. Whether due to a sports-related injury, tooth decay, excessive wear and tear, or periodontal disease, a dental implant can replace a single tooth or several teeth in your mouth. Implants are considered a very conservative form of treatment. This is because, unlike bridges, dentures or partials, implants preserve existing teeth in the mouth. Most importantly, they help maintain bone structure, which is vital to the health of every tooth in your mouth. While there are many restorative options available for missing teeth, dental implants are the preferred treatment method of dentists due to their functionality, durability, and high success rate (implants boast a success rate of 90 to 95 percent).
Veneers/Laminates
Porcelain veneers are a beautiful way to correct discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned teeth. CEREC Crowns (single visit porcelain crowns)
Crowns (or caps) are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when conservative restorations are insufficient to restore form and function. Crowns can be made entirely of tooth-colored material, metal, or a combination to provide optimal aesthetics. Dr. Markowitz offers the exclusive CEREC porcelain crown, that can most times be completed in one visit without the need for messy, uncomfortable impressions and temporaries.Inlays/Onlays (single visit porcelain restorations)
More conservative than a crown, inlays and onlays are two methods of restoring normal tooth structure after decay or other damage. Dr. Markowitz offers the exclusive CEREC porcelain Inlays and onlays. These are tooth colored porcelain fillings and are the closest material to natural teeth you can find. Porcelain restorations, such as inlays and onlays are much stronger than the plastic composite material that most tooth colored fillings are made of and are proven to last many years longer as this material will actually bond to the natural tooth when it is cemented to the surface of the tooth seamlessly (insert CEREC picture here). And unlike standard fillings, inlays and onlays do not weaken the tooth structure, but actually strengthens it. After the procedure the tooth can bear up to 50 - 75% more chewing force.Invisalign®
