6 Stages of Dental Implant Treatment:

  1. Stage One: Planning: Great Boca Smiles will take great care in mapping out a treatment plan to fit your specific dental implant needs. Using the latest technology, Dr. Markowitz ensures you are comfortable with your treatment options knowledge.
  2. Stage Two: Implant Placement: Dr. Markowitz will carefully place the dental implant in the optimal spot to properly form the gum tissue around the implant.
  3. Stage Three: Healing: For a few weeks, the dental implant will heal and be allowed to integrate into the bone.
  4. Stage Four: Temporary Restoration: To improve aesthetics, a temporary restoration may be placed for dental implants in visible areas.
  5. Stage Five: Abutment Placement: After the area is completely healed, a dental abutment will be placed and connected to the dental implant. The abutment allows for the dental implant and crown to be properly and securely connected.
  6. Stage Six: Crown Placement: At Great Boca Smiles our lab technician creates individual crowns and then places and bonds them to the abutment, completing the dental implant process.

If you’ve lost most or all of your teeth due to tooth decay or gum disease, then regular removable dentures are not the only solution. Implants can help you by supporting a more secure and stable denture replacement for teeth. Implant placement can be a great option for denture stabilization. Among these, a special type of implant-supported prosthesis is a “hybrid denture,” referred to as a hybrid because it combines the advantages of dental implants with a denture. It is especially suitable for those who’ve lost a considerable amount of jawbone over time due to missing teeth.
